About CADproTips
My name is Sam Lucido. I have been using AutoCAD since Release 8 (1987). I started using the software to draft layouts and site plans for a small parking company in Wixom, Michigan. I continued to work with AutoCAD moving into the environmental engineering field in the 1990s and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Computer-Aided Design in April 2000 at Eastern Michigan University. Since then, I have provided training, support, and customization in engineering and design.
I primarily work with the Autodesk product suite of software. I have been a speaker at Autodesk University for the past seven years (2012-2020) and received a Top Speaker Award from Autodesk. I believe in sharing what I know and working in a team environment to learn and grow as a person and professional in the CAD and Design industry.
I am an AutoCAD, Civil 3D Certified Professional, and Autodesk Expert Elite Alumni.
I am a Senior Content Designer with Autodesk. I work in the Platform Services and Emerging Technologies group on the Desktop Connector Team. I coach and mentor all level staff on the latest technological developments and Autodesk products based on market and client needs.
