Quick Dimension Styles
For those of you who do not like all those dimension dialog boxes and system variables you need to fill out. This is a quick tip on how to get the style you want and quickly. Simply create a dimension on your drawing, anywhere horizontal, vertical, or aligned as shown in the image below. Use the properties pane (CTRL+1) to get the arrows, text, extension lines, and anything else they way you want it to look. Once you are happy, select the dimension and right click as shown.
Notice the Dim Style flyout on the pull down menu? Simply select that and save your new style as shown. You will be good to go for that drawing. Remember you can use design center to apply to the style to other drawings as well.
